What is Cashline?

Cashline is cookieless first-party attribution for South African software businesses. It stores a visitor ID on your origin, records pageviews, goals, and purchases, and shows ZAR revenue, visitors, and revenue per visitor. Tiles stay empty until real events arrive.

Does Cashline use cookies?

Accepted Answer

No. The snippet writes a first-party visitor ID to localStorage and a session ID to sessionStorage. It does not set cookies. You still need your own privacy notice if your lawyer says analytics is personal information.

How does Paystack attribution work?

Accepted Answer

When you initialize a Paystack transaction, put cashline’s visitor_id in the metadata object. Cashline’s own checkout already does this. After Paystack confirms the charge, fire cashline('purchase') or rely on your verified webhook — never mark revenue from an unverified initialize.

What are the Cashline prices?

Starter is R149 per month (Paystack plan PLN_su9arwmqh854pjm). Growth is R299 per month (PLN_eizhuzd8dckw0pm). Billing is Paystack TEST. There is a 14-day trial that does not collect a card.

Do you support Stripe?

Accepted Answer

No native Stripe connection. Cashline is built for Paystack and ZAR. If a customer pays you on another processor, fire a purchase event only after that processor confirms the charge.

Can I see which Google ads made money?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when the landing URL carries utm_source=google and utm_medium=cpc (or ppc/paid). Cashline groups those hits as google/cpc and attributes ZAR purchases to first touch and last touch. Without UTM, paid Google often looks like google/organic.

Do you import Google Search Console keywords?

Not yet. The keyword table stays empty. Cashline will not invent queries, clicks, or impressions. A connect-later stub is on the dashboard so the surface is honest.

Question 8

How do goals and funnels work?

Accepted Answer

Call cashline('goal', { name: 'signup' }) when someone actually signs up. The default funnel is page → signup → purchase. Conversion rates use unique visitors who completed each step in order. Empty sites show an empty funnel, not a demo.

Are ChatGPT and Perplexity marketing channels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If the referrer host is chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, or perplexity.ai — or the UTM source is chatgpt / perplexity — Cashline labels that traffic as those channels. Same idea for Claude and Gemini.

Is Peach Payments or Yoco connected?

Accepted Answer

Not as native integrations. After Peach or Yoco confirms a payment on your server, fire cashline('purchase', { amount, currency: 'ZAR', reference }). Do not send a purchase from the browser click that opens checkout.
